Privacy
The numbers you type into the calculator stay in your browser. This page says what the site does and does not do.
The calculator
The calculator is a script that runs on your device. When you change a number, your browser recalculates the amount itself. Nothing you type is sent to a server, saved in your browser, or written into the page address.
When you open a link that fills in the calculator, such as the "Open this family in the calculator" links in the guides, the example's numbers are part of the address (the part after the question mark). Like any address, it is sent to the server that delivers the page.
Visitor statistics
The site counts visits with Umami, a statistics tool self-hosted by the publisher, Hatim Rih. It counts page views and three events: the first change to a calculator on a page (with the state, never the numbers), a click on a "Run your own numbers" button in a guide, and sending the contact form.
- It sets no cookies and uses no browser storage.
- It stores no IP address.
- It does not record the part of the address after the question mark, so the numbers in a calculator link are not counted.
- Its script and the address it reports to are served from coparentmath.com, so your browser contacts no other site.
The contact form
When you send the contact form, your message, your email address, your name if you give one and the page you name go by email to the publisher through Resend, an email delivery service. The site's server does not store them. Your email address is used to reply to that message.
You can also write to contact@coparentmath.com directly.
What the site does not use
- No cookies.
- No advertising, tracking pixels or statistics from other companies.
- No accounts.
- Nothing loaded from other sites: the pages, the scripts and the fonts are all served from coparentmath.com.
Like any website, the server that delivers these pages receives what a browser sends with every request, such as your IP address and the address of the page asked for.
Links to other sites
The calculators and guides link to statutes, state agencies and official charts. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which apply once you follow a link.
